America Ferrera
America Georgine Ferrera was an American actress, best famous for her part as the lead character on the tv show "Ugly Betty.' As a child Ferrera has had a keen interest in the world of acting. Her stage performances included for various school productions and her film debut "Real Women Have Curves" was her breakthrough film. Though her role in the TV series "Ugly Betty" attracted more attention and attention, her performance as the principal character of the show garnered her acclaim. The show won her winning the Golden Globe Award for Best Actress as well as the Screen Actors Guild Award and the Primetime Emmy Award. Congresswoman Hilda L. Solis is highly praised for acting as an "role-model" for the next generation of Hispanic women working in the industry. Ferrera is a part of Time magazine's list of 100 influential individuals across the globe 2007 was named one. Ferrera is a fervent supporter of the 'Save the Children Campaign' as well as its ambassador. She travelled to India for her work to raise awareness of sex slaves and to get to know children who are sexworkers.
