Maureen FitzSimons' early achievements in the performing arts (now called Maureen O'Hara), would be considered, at least in the eyes of America, into the child prodigy category. For a child with Irish heritage, and surrounded as her by talented parents, and her family, this came naturally. Maureen was welcomed into this cherished refuge in Ranelagh, Ireland on August 17th of 1920. Marguerita Lu. FitzSimons made a name for herself with her contralto. His father, Charles FitzSimons, managed the business of Dublin and also owned part of the well-known Irish soccer team "The Shamrock Rovers." Maureen FitzSimons was the daughter of Charles FitzSimons. Peggy, Florrie Charles B. Fitzsimons Margot Fitzsimons complete this wonderful family. Maureen was a fan of rough sports as a kid and was very good at it. Her passion was coupled with an unnatural talent for performing. This was apparent when she won each Feis in drama and theatre the Irish had to provide. When she was fourteen, she was accepted into the Abbey Theater, where her dream was to pursue operatic singing and classical theater.
