Annie Lennox
Annie Lennox is a Scottish born singer. Her birth date was 25, December, 1954 in Aberdeen. Dorothy Farquharson is her mother and Thomas Allison Lennox, father. Lennox studied flute, piano and harpsichord at the Royal Academy of Music London for three years in the 1970s. Lennox made it through on an allowance for students working part-time in order in order to earn a living. Lennox did not feel happy with the quality of her abilities compared to others at Royal Academy and began looking at other options. Lennox started her professional career in 1976 when she joined the band Dragons Playground. However, she left before the band was asked to participate in I.T.V.'s talent competition New Faces. She was the lead singer to The Tourists (a British popband) from 1977 to 1980. She began to meet Dave Stewart, with whom she would form the pop-duo Eurythmics. Following that Lennox began working on her solo first album Diva and it was released in 1992. The album garnered a lot of praise, both by critics as well as the general public. Nostalgia Lennoxs 6th solo album came out in the month of October 2014. The C.D. is a selection of Lennoxs most loved blues and soul jazz tunes from her upbringing. Lepidoptera, a collection four impromptu piano pieces was released by Lennox in May of 2019. The E.P. She released her first solo album in conjunction with her art work in the Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art entitled "Now I'm letting You Go."
